Not many people know about this place. It is sometimes called 'The Lost City of the Incas'. It is a quiet and beautiful place. It is in the mountains at an altitude of about eight thousand feet. Nowadays Machu Picchu attracts tourists with some magical atmosphere. It is still far away from the larger world. There are only small hotels and local businesses. But this city doesn't turn into a modern place with millions of tourists every year. It is an interesting place where the distant past and the present meet.
