'The Crystal Egg' is a science fiction short story by H. G. Wells. It tells about Mr. Cave. Mr. Cave is an antiquarian. He lives in a poor area of London. He has a good education. Mr. Cave has his own shop. But his business doesn't go well. He is married to a woman who has two children. But they don't love him. They treat him bad. In his shop among the goods Mr. Cave has got a crystal egg. One night the man is in the shop. He notices that the light is coming from the egg. He carefully examines the egg. Suddenly it seems to him that he sees a picture of an unknown world. Mr. Cave takes the egg to his friend Jacoby Wace. Jacoby works as an assistant demonstrator at a nearby hospital. Together they learn this egg. They see this amazing other world. Soon the friends will even figure out what they see...
